Well, the recital was a hit! It was one of the coolest things we have seen as parents in the last four years. Jennalee got on stage before everything got going, while the students were still tuning, and she played her whole song through... she then bowed, came back to our seats and said, "I did it!" There were several cute moments like that. When the big moment finally did come (you can see the video below), she did as well as we could imagine.
She looked tiny all by herself on stage. And we felt confused emotions -- our chests bursting with pride and the feeling that someone had ripped our hearts out, all at the same time. The song was quick, but it seared into our minds and hearts. It was wonderful.

We got to see it in person, no less! She did great! Does that sound like a proud grandparent? :)
Wow! It seems the only thing that gave her trouble were those stairs for giants. She didn't even flinch up there on stage. Way to go Jennalee!
That was really great ! Jennalee looked like she was having a great time up there. What an accomplishment for a 4 year old little girl !!
Lee Ann...I have to comment on this...it literally brought tears to my eyes. So innocent...so big...so fast!! Where does the time go? She is precious and I think it is so neat she is taking violen. Hope you are doing well.
Awww... I was a violinist for 10 years. This brings back memories. :-)
She was a wonderful little performer and seemed to love it!! We're so proud of her and were so glad to get to see this in person. What a blessing! Mom

That was precious!!
After trying every combination of girl, swirl, twirl, girlie, swirly, and twirly I could think of, I finally found your blog. The recital clip is adorable!
This is SO completely adorable! The girls are just as precious as they can be.
